Sunflowers for Tina

TinaSunflowerOn August 23rd, we lost Tina Downey, a dear member of our writing community, known by many for her generous, loving spirit as well as witty, homespun posts. At least that’s how I remember her.

We chatted a few times on each of our blogs on the subject of memoirs and life in general, and once, she let me read a snippet of her work. The woman had talent…and heart. If you followed her blog, Life is Good, you felt it in everything she wrote. Even though we suffer a great loss in our physical world, surely, heaven must be sweeter with Tina there. God bless you, Tina, and your loving family, Neil, Jake, and Luke.

If you’d like to leave personal condolences, her memorial page can be found at this link. In lieu of flowers, the family asks any contributions go to the Downey Education Fund for Jake and Luke.

Peace,
